System Requirements
|
|
Listed below are the minimum server and workstation hardware
requirements and options to consider when implementing CliniPro,
which operates in a Microsoft Windows environment. Because
you will utilize your computer(s) for a wide variety of software
in addition to that purchased from NuMedics, and will also
need to make decisions regarding other hardware such
as printers and backup devices you should consult with
your selected vendor to ensure that your hardware meets all
of your computing needs.
Server
Your server, a specialized PC with a tremendous range of
capabilities, controls communications between all devices
(computers, printers, etc.) attached to the network. We recommend
a robust PC specifically designed to handle the demands of
a busy network. Several factors affect price: the amount of
installed memory; size and configuration of hard drive; backup
technology; speed of CD-ROM; size and quality
of monitor; and maintenance options. The hardware you purchase
should have passed compatibility tests by Microsoft; a list
of approved machines is available online at http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx.
