System Requirements

Listed below are the minimum server and workstation hardware requirements and options to consider when implementing CliniPro, which operates in a Microsoft Windows environment. Because you will utilize your computer(s) for a wide variety of software in addition to that purchased from NuMedics, and will also need to make decisions regarding other hardware – such as printers and backup devices – you should consult with your selected vendor to ensure that your hardware meets all of your computing needs.

Server

Your server, a specialized PC with a tremendous range of capabilities, controls communications between all devices (computers, printers, etc.) attached to the network. We recommend a robust PC specifically designed to handle the demands of a busy network. Several factors affect price: the amount of installed memory; size and configuration of hard drive; backup technology; speed of CD-ROM; size and quality of monitor; and maintenance options. The hardware you purchase should have passed compatibility tests by Microsoft; a list of approved machines is available online at http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx.
