Part-Time Client Support/Backup Receptionist

HOURS: 7:30am – 12:30pm M-Fr to start with, some flexibility available.

DESCRIPTION:
NuMedics, Inc., a medical software company specializing in such applications as Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Diabetes Disease Management is looking for a client support person to join our team. NuMedics is NOT A MEDICAL OFFICE.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some customer service/receptionist experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word and Excel

JOB DUTIES:

  • Answer phones
  • Set up new accounts for clients
  • Follow up with clients
  • Schedule system setups
  • Troubleshoot software errors
  • Perform data entry
  • File documents
  • Test software
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Help out other departments when needed
  • Backup receptionist when needed

Some of the receptionist duties are:

  • Answer phones, screen and transfer calls to the right person
  • Fax, copy, scan and mail documents
  • Schedule appointments
  • Utilize computer skills, mainly Word and Excel
  • Make coffee, keep kitchen area clean and help out with potlucks
  • Keep track and coordinate office supplies and inventories
  • Make sure printer/copier and other office machines are in good working order

Programmer Internship

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
NuMedics Inc., a medical software company specializing in such applications as Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Diabetes Disease Management, is seeking dependable, self-motivated and confident programmer intern with excellent written and verbal communication skills to assist with the development and maintenance of health care related applications in an MS Windows Environment. Intern will work closely with the Development Director and programming team to take what they learned in school and apply it to real life.

The successful candidate will be expected to work in a variety of capacities, including documentation, testing and programming, and producing high-quality source code in a timely manner. Familiarity with the Delphi program language, C# and C++, communication and device protocols such as serial and USB and healthcare related information system is highly desired, but not required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An understanding of object oriented software development design and implementation.
  • The ability to develop and maintain object oriented software.
  • A familiarity with SQL and fundamental database concepts such as constraints and foreign keys.
  • An understanding of fundamental information science concepts such as:
    • Sorting
    • Searching

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate, monitor and control the development of specifications and requirements
  • Develop project plans and standards, individually and in a team
  • Lead, monitor, and coordinate all aspects of the design and development process
  • Implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, adhere to quality standards and meet customer expectations

Technical Engineering Specifications Writer

JOB TYPE: Part Time

DESCRIPTION:
Attends software design meetings and project reviews, and under the guidance of the quality manager, project lead, and software engineer, creates and maintains a variety of project documents, including project overviews, design specifications, engineering specifications, test plans, and test scenarios; performs some software testing.

Once familiar with the process of meeting the documentation requirements of our software development quality management system, the Documentation Specialist will also participate in the improvement and maintenance of that system, and in the creation of style guides for the various required documents.
