NuMedics' EMR plus Disease Management product CliniPro® Receives Certification by SureScripts®

November, 2010 – Tigard, OR – NuMedics Inc. announced today that its Electronic Medical Record plus Disease Management product, CliniPro software system has received certification by SureScripts, a national prescription clearing house. E-Prescribe will empower medical professionals to deliver higher quality patient care, while greatly improving workflow efficiencies, and reduce prescription error.

It is imperative for Providers to begin e-Prescribing in 2011. The Center for Medicare Services (CMS) began an Electronic Prescribing Incentive Program in 2009 to encourage Providers to implement e-Prescribe services. Although the incentive program will end in 2013, Medicare and Medicaid Providers who do not begin to e-Prescribe in early 2011 will face CMS financial penalties. Providers must e-Prescribe at least 10 times during the first six months of 2011, to avoid being penalized in 2012.

"One of the truly remarkable things about CliniPro is that the sophistication of the program allows it to be highly customizable to each site," says Hawes. "The support we obtain from NuMedics has been quite outstanding, which enables the system to match our requests. We also have confidence knowing that if something doesn't go well, there is a team of individuals who will change things."
